• WHAT DOES K2+D3 MAXIMUM STRENGTH DO? K2+D3 Maximum Strength is a combination of Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 - more specifically, it is a 100% pure, trademarked version of the Menaquinone-7 (MK-7) variant of vitamin K2, which is the only form of Menaquinone-7 that has clinical studies supporting its benefits in terms of heart health. Menaquinone-7 is superior to other forms of Vitamin K2, such as Menaquinone-4 (MK-4) which offer poor absorption and have a very short half life, but are much cheaper. Many products claim to have Menaquinone-7, then will have a very small amount of MK-7 for label claim and have the remaining dose be made of MK-4 to cut corners on price.

In a human study comparing daily doses of 180mcg Menaquinone-7 versus 360mcg Menaquinone-7, the 360mcg group saw an additional 15% reduction in desphospho-uncarboxylated MGP (dp-ucMGP), which is the protein related to levels of coronary calcification and arterial stiffness.
